New
York, NY. USA - The best players in the
world will be showcasing the most prestigious
3-Cushion billiard tournament in the American
Continent. This event is the equivalent to
World Cup Events previously held by the World
Cup Association and now under the auspices
of the Union Mundiale De Billar. Carom Cafe,
located in Flushing, New York is the organizer
of this magnanimus event.
The tournament is
dedicated to the best U.S. 3-Cushion player
of modern times, Mr. Sang Chun Lee, who established
an all time record wining the U.S. Championship
11 consecutive years. A native of South Korea who
emigrated to the United States in 1987 became
the first American to win the World Championship
in the past 40 years.

The number of participants is limited to the
first 96 paid entrees. The semifinals round
includes 30 qualifiers from the preliminary
round plus five seeds that include the top
three finishers of last year's event plus
three auction and two lotto winners. Two additional
seeds include the 2005 UMB world Champion
and one special guest invited by the organizers.
UPDATE: Frederick Caudron has been seeded into the semifinal
round. He will replace 2005 World Champion Daniel
Sanchez from Spain who will be out enjoying his
honeymoon.
