Miami, Florida - Taking advantage of the spring like weather that Florida offers in the month of February, the United States Billiard Association has designated Miami as "The Place" to hold this year's Nationals. The event will be held at New Wave Billiards in Miami, Florida. The preliminary matches will begin Wednesday, February 8 until Friday 10. The final matches will start after a player's meeting right after the preliminary matches and will run until Sunday, February 12 of the current year.

The best forty players in the country have already arranged to meet the most ferocious 3-Cushion billiard competitors in the USA. The top five payers from last year's Nationals, Sonny Cho, current National Champion, Pedro Piedrabuena, current Runner Up, Michael Kang, Mazin Shooni and Roberto Arana (Third, fourth and fifth place finishers) will be seeded into five different groups of eight or more players each.

The main objective of the tournament is to select the this year's Champion and Runner Up who will represent the USA in the UMB world Championship to be held in Egypt next September.
